- How Aliff Aziz Online (AAO) is born? :: 3rd Month Anniversary of AAO -



Actually I not a fan of Aliff Aziz since the day he sang at the preliminary round. Even after the final, I still don't expect him to won. I am pretty dissapointed with the result. I prefer Maiya Rahman instead. Yes, I vote for her many times.

However on 28 Sept 2007, I fell upon his songs from his debut album at Imeem.Com. And wow, it was so amazing man. That day itself, I bought his album at Jurong Point CD RAMA shop. From then onwards, I kept listening to his songs all over again.

The day after, I search for Aliff Aziz at my favorite search website; Google to find out more details about him. I managed to find a few though. But I am truly dissapointed that he did not have a fansite. And an idea suddenly pop out from my mind to make a fansite of him. But I am not too rush though. I kept thinking and thinking about the consequences that I will face when I manage the fansite. My decision is 50-50, to make or not to make.

Unsure what to decide, I make a poll at Aliff Aziz Group at Imeem.Com for the members there to vote whether they want a fansite of him to gather his fans from around Singapore. 5 days of voting and the result turn out to be 87%. After about 2 hours of consultation with my god sis, I have decided to bring it on. I also have the inspiration for making this website from Aliff himself. He is an artist who are talented at a young age and I knew he can make it further in the music industry.

On 5th Oct 2007, I started to make the website on the shared hosting that also host my personal website. And of course it will be crazy minded if I make it from sratch. Because I am not in good in designing the skeleton of a website although I have Higher Nitec in Business Information Technology in my hand. Why? Because I already kena brain washed during my 2 years of NS liao. =P

With the help of IntegraMOD (a system that integrate a website and a forum), I started to work on it all day long from 5th Oct to 11st Oct 2007. At last after doing some debugging, it is opened to the public from 11st Oct 2007, 10pm onwards. However, the domain (aliff-aziz.com) I paid for is only activated on 8th Oct 2007. Therefore the date of birth of AAO is officially 8th October 2007. And he is now 3 months old and have over 2000 members aka AliffAngels from not only Singapore and Malaysia but Brunei too.

Wait, Wait, one question, why aliff-aziz.com, not aliffaziz.com?
- Because I found it unique and not too cramp.

Why do you choose Aliff Aziz Online as the name, why not Aliff Aziz Official Website or so on?
- Talking about Online part, the idea came from from my previous now defunct idol website, Sylvester Sim Online. I can't state Official Website because it is not official yet at that time.

Finally on 23 Oct 2007, AAO is declared as the one and only official website of Aliff Aziz by MediaCorp TV12 Artist Management Unit (AMU) and Sony BMG Singapore. Thanks guys especially Aliff's manager; Mr Alex, AMU boss; Mr Azlan, and Managing Director of Sony BMG Singapore and Malaysia; Mr Adrian Lim.

And lastly I would like thanks all AliffAngels for all your tremendous support. Without you guys, this website won't be survive up till now. Thanks guys!! =)
